Dejerea Calhoun

Dejerea is from Chicago, Illinois but up until a year and a half ago relocated to Phoenix, AZ. She has been working as a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse for the past seven years & a travel nurse for the last four. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Chicago State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing & a minor in psychology. Her decision to pursue nursing was influenced by both a tragic loss and the joy of witnessing new life. Although she initially aimed to become a Labor and Delivery Nurse, fate led her to the NICU where she found fulfillment and purpose in her work. Outside of her profession, she enjoys exploring the world through travel, being a dog mom to her two shihpoo puppies & indulging in tasty cuisines.
