FAQs For Professionals

How Do I Get Started with Mentoring on Medsembly?
We make mentoring easy and low time commitment. To get started, simply download the app and answer a few questions about yourself, your experiences, and how you are able to help mentees. You can help with as much or as little as you are able to and can always turn off mentoring during busier times in your life. After completing the onboarding, you will then be taken to the app where you can see mentees as they match with you, or start building relationships with other mentees and colleagues. You can choose to help mentees with more hands-on tasks such as reviewing personal statements, mock interviews, contract reviews, and more.
Who Can Be A Mentor?
Mentors are individuals that can offer valuable advice and build relationships with students with similar career goals. Mentors must have already accomplished what the mentee is setting out to achieve, i.e. get accepted into PA school or nursing school. Because of this, pre-health students are only able to be mentored, while once accepted into a program, a student can then mentor.
How Will I Participate In The Medsembly Community?
Medsembly is a safe space to share your experiences in healthcare, build relationships, and get support along the way. There are many ways to get involved and assistance in the community. You can match with mentors or be a mentor, build meaningful relationships with colleagues, engage in meaningful discussions, find job opportunities, attend networking events, and get help navigating your career!
Is There A Time Commitment?
Medsembly is a safe space to share your experiences in healthcare, build relationships, and get support along the way. There are many ways to get involved and assistance in the community. You can match with mentors or be a mentor, build meaningful relationships with colleagues, engage in meaningful discussions, find job opportunities, attend networking events, and get help navigating your career!
What Can I Help With?

As a mentor on Medsembly, we ask to help mentees any way that you are able to, at any capacity. This goes from answering simple questions, offering in-person shadowing or being a clinical preceptor, to full on mentorship, to completing paid tasks.

How Do I Get Paid?
While many of our features and services are free, we do have opportunities for mentors to get paid. Mentors get paid by completing tasks, you make $25 for every task you complete. You have 2 weeks to complete all tasks upon acceptance. Once you submit the reviewed task, the student will receive it and have 48 hours to review. Funds will be sent to your payment account which can be found under the profile menu after the student reviews the task. If the student does not respond within 48 hours, the funds will automatically be disbursed to your account.
What If I Am No Longer Able To Complete A Task?
As a mentor, you can accept as many or as little services as you have the time and capacity to. We understand things happen and allow mentors to cancel 48 hours upon accepting a task. Please contact us for any tasks to be canceled beyond 48 hours and remain in contact with the mentee(s) to ensure they meet their respective deadlines.
How Do I Earn CMEs/CEs?
You have the opportunity to reflect and earn CMEs/CEs as a physician assistant, nurse practitioner, registered nurse, physician, and pharmacist. There are three ways to reflect and earn CMEs/CEs, through one-on-one mentorship 30-minute video calls, offering virtual or in-person shadowing, and posting educational content that is at least 30 minutes long. This experience is powered by CMEfy – an AI-powered platform that directs learners along a pathway to capture reflections at the point of inspiration, point of care. Clinicians may earn CME/CE credit via ReflectCE, the accredited activity portal. Learn more at about.cmefy.com/cme-info
