Is Medsembly free?
Medsembly is always free to get started and connect with mentors and peers. We offer a wide selection of free resources for transitioning into the healthcare field.
Though we provide mentors, advice, and guidance to students, we are not an educational institution, accrediting body, or affiliated with any state organizations. We encourage students to stay informed with their schools, accreditation committees, and state legislation for the most up to date information.
How can I find a mentor on Medsembly?
After downloading the app, create an account and answer a few questions to help us learn more about your needs and experiences so we can facilitate a connection with the right mentor(s) for you. The explore page features all available mentors with descriptions on how they're able to help you. Simply message or request to connect to get started!
What paid services do you offer?
While it's always free to ask mentors for advice and foster relationships with your mentors, our paid services allow you to get added support with more hands-on tasks. Paid services include resume review, application review, essay/personal statement revisions, and mock interview.
What if I do not hear back from my mentor?
If you request a task and a mentor does not respond, simply cancel the request with the opportunity to find another mentor free of charge, or reach out to our team to assist you. If your mentor started the task and is no longer responsive, please reach out to us via email at info@medsembly.com so we can intervene and ensure you receive the proper assistance in your journey.
How long does it take to get a revision back or mock interview done?
Mentors have 2 weeks to complete a service upon initial acceptance.
What if my mentor has not completed my task after the 2-week deadline?
To ensure you receive your task on time, communicate regularly with your mentor. If they are not responsive or past the deadline, you can start a dispute by clicking “Help” found under the “More” tab. We review all disputes and will work to have the mentor get the assignment to you or match you with another mentor to help, free of charge.
Can I cancel a task?
You can cancel a task anytime before a mentor/coach accepts the task. Once a mentor commits to completing a task, it can no longer be canceled, but you but you may dispute a task at any time under the task page or by contacting us under the help menu or email directly at info@medsembly.com
